About Don Bristow

Don Bristow, a U.S. Navy veteran, former math teacher, and with 20 years in the software development industry, left a steady income behind in 2003 to pursue photography and the arts.

Bristow's fascination with infinite mathematics started in 1980, and 28 years later the concept of CHAOTICA, a series of mathematical renderings on aluminum, was conceived.

CHAOTICA is a very exciting project. says Bristow. Like nature photography, it's a process of search and discovery. CHAOTICA is based on the field of mathematics called Chaos Theory, the field of mathematics that shows random chaotic events to be structured patterned happenings.

His commercial photography work has appeared in Car Care Magazine, Sacramento Magazine, N Magazine, Natomas Journal, DuPont Registry of Homes, US Oncology News and more. His fine art work has been featured in Sacramento, California by Artisan Gallery, Centerline Gallery, Doiron Gallery, Gallery W and Taylor's Nouveau Fine Art Gallery, in Tyler, Texas by Gallery Main Street, Caffe Tazza and the eTX Natural Wellness Expo, in Horeshoe Bay, Texas by the Global Art Initiative Gallery, in Dallas, Texas by the Mary Tomas Studio Gallery, in Fort Worth, Texas by the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, in Arlington, Texas by the Arlington Museum of Art and in Lindale, Texas by The Art of Coffee.
